Samsung Unveils Portable SSD T7 Resurrected with Storage Up to 4TB
The SSD T7 Resurrected is Samsung’s latest step toward eco-friendly technology. It come in fully recyclable packaging and features a case made entirely from recycled aluminum. Interestingly, the aluminum used in this SSD comes from materials that were discarded during the manufacturing of Samsung’s Galaxy phones and tablets. By using these leftover materials, Samsung promotes cross division recycling helping the company to make better use of resources while minimizing its environmental footprint.
The South Korean company has also removed the coloring process for the SSD T7 Resurrected allowing the natural silver luster of aluminum to show through. This approach reduces the use of chemicals and simplifies the manufacturing process. Furthermore, the packaging reflects Samsung’s eco-friendly approach using ASA certified soy ink for all printed materials which is more sustainable and less harmful to the environment.
The environmental responsible design choices made for the SSD T7 Resurrected have earned Samsung the renowned 2026 CES Innovation Award in the Sustainability and Energy category. Beyond its sustainability, this SSD provides AES 256-bit hardware encryption for strong data protection and is also rugged enough to withstand drops from a height of up to two meters.
The SSD T7 Resurrected deliver fast performance with reading speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and writing speeds up to 1,000 MB/s similar to the standard SSD T7. It is available in three storage capacity: 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. The 1TB model is priced at $119.99, the 2TB version costs $205.99 and the 4TB option is available for $378.99.
