Samsung Unveils Revolutionary Color E-Paper Display With Near-Zero Power Consumption

Samsung, a global leader in display technology, has introduced an incredible color e-ink display designed for commercial use, particularly in retail stores and advertising. This innovation not only redefines energy efficiency but also opens up new possibilities for businesses looking for sustainable and impactful solutions.

At Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung showcased its latest lineup of commercial displays and TVs, featuring the groundbreaking Color E-Paper display. This display consumes virtually no power (0.00W) while showing static images, making it an energy-efficient marvel.

The Color E-Paper display is available in four sizes:

  • 13-inch (1,600 x 1,200 pixels)
  • 25-inch (3,200 x 1,800 pixels)
  • 32-inch (2,560 x 1,440 pixels)
  • 75-inch (5,120 x 2,880 pixels)

Loaded with features, this display includes 8GB of storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, two USB Type-C ports, and a built-in 5,000mAh battery. It runs on Tizen OS, offering a sleek, lightweight design perfect for retail and commercial spaces. Businesses can effortlessly manage content through an app, which allows remote control, scheduling sleep and wake times, and setting visual playlists.

Samsung’s commitment to sustainability is evident, as the Color E-Paper display is built using 50% recycled plastics, and its packaging is made entirely from paper.

Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Samsung DX, shared his thoughts on the launch: “Our latest innovations, including the near-zero power Samsung Color E-Paper and advanced AI capabilities brought by all the models, showcase our commitment to pioneering new markets and providing transformative business solutions worldwide.”

In addition to the Color E-Paper, Samsung introduced the 2025 version of its Interactive Display (WAFX-P), tailored for educational environments like classrooms. This display runs on software powered by Android 15 and includes new AI features to enhance learning and collaboration.
