Samsung’s first tri-fold folding phone! The Galaxy Z TriFold is now available for pre-order in China

Samsung’s first tri-fold Galaxy Z TriFold, released last week, has been launched in China and is currently available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website and other platforms.

The Chinese version offers two options: 16GB+512GB priced at 19,999 yuan and 16GB+1TB priced at 21,999 yuan. Only one color option, Time Black, is available. Shipping is expected to begin on December 19.

The Galaxy Z TriFold adopts a G-shaped folding design with inward folding on both sides, which is completely different from Huawei’s Z-shaped design. When folded, the screen can be stored inside the body, providing stronger protection.

The thinnest part of the device is only 3.9mm, the closed thickness is about 12mm, and it weighs 309g. It is equipped with a titanium alloy hinge cover and an armored aluminum frame, and has passed IP48 dustproof and waterproof certification.

The external screen in folded mode is 6.5 inches, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, and has a peak brightness of 2600 nits.

When fully unfolded, it is a 10-inch super large screen with a resolution of 2160×1584, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits peak brightness, enabling a tablet-level large-screen productivity experience.

It features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra mobile platform, a built-in 5600mAh battery, and supports 45W fast charging (charging to 50% in 30 minutes).

It comes pre-installed with One UI 8 based on Android 16 and deeply integrates the Galaxy AI suite, covering intelligent tools such as generative editing and photo assistant.

For the first time, it supports the standalone version of Samsung DeX, allowing you to start a desktop-level office environment without an external monitor. With a mouse and keyboard, you can work anytime, anywhere.

The back features a triple-camera module, consisting of a 200-megapixel wide-angle main camera (ISOCELL HP2), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. The inner and outer screens each have a 10-megapixel punch-hole front camera.

It is worth noting that the Chinese version also adds the Tiantong satellite communication function, which can enable direct satellite calls when there is no network or signal.

The device was first launched in South Korea on December 2nd, with a starting price of approximately 17,305 yuan, which is more than 2,000 yuan lower than the Chinese version.
