Samsung held a Galaxy Unpacked event last night and officially released the foldable screen Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.

After the press conference, Samsung held a press conference at a hotel in Brooklyn, New York. Roh Tae-Moon, head of Samsung Electronics’ DX department, revealed that Samsung will release a three-fold screen this year, which will be the first three-fold screen in Android history.

Lu Taiwen said that we are working hard to promote the release of the three-fold screen, and it will be officially launched after the completion and usability of the three-fold screen meet the standards, so stay tuned. He also said that Samsung has not yet determined the final name of the device, and the team will make a decision when the launch event is approaching.

In September last year, Huawei Mate XT was officially released. It is the world’s first commercial tri-fold screen mobile phone, priced from 19,999 yuan.

After nearly a year, Samsung’s tri-fold screen is about to debut. It will compete with Huawei and is the second brand in the industry capable of mass production and release of tri-fold screens.

According to reports, Samsung’s three-fold screen adopts a G-shaped design, with two screens folding in the middle. This is also the industry’s first G-shaped folding model, which is completely different from Huawei’s S-shaped three-fold. Its inner screen size is about 9.9 inches, and the outer screen size is about 6.5 inches. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition platform.

In terms of price, considering that Huawei’s tri-fold screen is priced at 19,999 yuan, it is expected that Samsung’s tri-fold screen will be priced at around 20,000 yuan.
