Samsung’s triple-folding phone folding method exposed: not Z or G shape
Huawei’s second three-fold screen mobile phone will be released on September 4. Samsung is also expected to bring its first three-fold screen mobile phone in the near future, but the folding method of this phone has surprised many people.
Previously, based on the display prototype displayed by Samsung at the exhibition, it was speculated that this three-fold device may adopt a method of folding the left and right sides inward, that is, folding from the left first, then folding from the right, or vice versa.
However, according to a new animation found in the One UI 8 code, Samsung’s folding method is completely different from previous speculation. It is neither a Z-shaped nor a G-shaped folding method.

The animation shows that Samsung’s triple-fold device will adopt a left-to-right folding mode. First, the left third of the display folds into the middle part, and then these two parts fold into the right third of the display.
While it remains to be confirmed whether this foldable design will appear on the final Galaxy G Fold, the possibility seems high.
In addition, @TechHighest also shared two other videos, confirming that Samsung’s tri-fold device will support NFC payments and reverse wireless charging.
The reverse wireless charging module is located on the right side of the front of the device, opposite the camera on the back. The device is expected to be released at the end of September.
