Samsung’s triple-folding screen is named Galaxy Z TriFold
Lu Taiwen, head of Samsung Electronics’ DX department, previously confirmed that Samsung’s three-fold screen will debut this year. This is not only Samsung’s first three-fold screen, but also the first three-fold screen in the Android camp. The information that everyone is most concerned about is how the product will be named.
It is reported that Samsung has applied for the “Galaxy Z TriFold” trademark in South Korea, where “Tri” stands for three. The industry believes that this is the final name of Samsung’s three-fold screen. It will compete with Huawei Mate XT, which is also a three-fold screen flagship.

Unlike the S-shaped folding design of Huawei Mate XT, Samsung’s triple-folding screen adopts a G-shaped design. The two screens fold towards the middle. The inner screen size is about 9.9 inches and the outer screen size is about 6.5 inches. This is the industry’s first G-shaped folding model.
In addition, Samsung’s tri-fold screen is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition flagship platform and is expected to be launched in South Korea and China, with a price that may exceed 20,000 yuan.
