Tecno Phantom V2 Fold Appears On Geekbench With Dimensity 9000+ SoC

Transsion’s brand Tecno, which entered the foldable smartphone market in 2023 with the launch of the Phantom V Fold, is now preparing to release its successor. The new model, identified as AE10, has appeared in the GeekBench benchmarking database.

According to the GeekBench listing, the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold is equipped with an octa-core processor, including one core clocked at 3.2GHz, three cores at 2.85GHz, and four cores at 1.80GHz. It also features the Mali-G710 MC10 GPU, and it is speculated to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, similar to its predecessor.

The device is reported to have 12GB of RAM and runs on the Android 14 operating system. In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold scored 1274 and 3856 points, respectively.

For reference, the Phantom V Fold featured a 7.85-inch AMOLED LPTO foldable display with a 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, with an aspect ratio of 8:7. The external screen measured 6.42 inches, also an AMOLED panel, with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 21:9 aspect ratio.

The Phantom V Fold was equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel camera on the internal screen. Its rear camera setup included a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens supporting 2x optical zoom.

Powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chipset, the Phantom V Fold also featured LPDDR5x memory, UFS 3.1 storage, a 5000mAh battery, and supported 45W fast charging.
