Tecno releases the world’s thinnest tri-fold concept phone: 3.49mm when unfolded
TECNO, a brand under Transsion, released a three-fold concept phone – PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold.
The phone is 11.49mm thick when folded and only 3.49mm thick when unfolded. It is known as the world’s thinnest tri-fold phone, and when fully unfolded it has a 9.94-inch large screen.
In comparison, the thickness of Huawei Mate XT in triple-screen state is 3.6mm/3.6mm/4.75mm.

In terms of ID design, the phone is equipped with dual hinges and adopts a C-shaped inward folding design, which is different from the Z-shaped folding solution of Huawei Mate XT.
TECNO Tri-Fold Hinge consists of a small waterdrop hinge and a large main hinge.

When the device is folded, a small hinge allows the right side of the screen to fold inwards seamlessly, working similarly to a traditional book-style foldable device.
The main hinge is responsible for the other part of the folding and is equipped with a self-locking mechanism to ensure that the device fits seamlessly and securely when closed.
At present, the core configuration of PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold has not been announced.
