The iPhone 18 Pro will be available in a deep red color.
According to a recent leak from Mark Gurman, Apple is testing a new deep red color option for the iPhone 18 Pro series, which would be the first time a red color is expected to appear on an iPhone Pro model.
It is understood that the iPhone 18 Pro’s attempt at a deep red color is mainly due to the unibody aluminum alloy design used in the iPhone 17 Pro, a process that allows the Pro series to achieve a wider range of color options.
Gurman stated that deep red is currently the new flagship test color for this model, while the popular Starry Orange color of the iPhone 17 Pro (especially popular in the Chinese market) will most likely be retained by Apple, possibly resulting in a dual-main-color scheme.
It’s worth noting that if this deep red color is released, it will be Apple’s first red iPhone in four years since the iPhone 14 in 2022, and it will also fill the gap in the Pro series’ lack of a red color.
The previously revealed purple and brown color schemes are actually just different test variations of the deep red, not independent color schemes.

Unlike the iPhone 18 Pro, which experimented with new color options, Apple adopted an extremely conservative color strategy for its first foldable iPhone, the Fold, clearly avoiding flashy colors and offering only two basic shades: dark gray/black and white/light silver, returning to the classic color scheme logic of the original iPhone.
This is also to simplify the mass production process of foldable screens. As Apple’s first foray into the foldable screen field, reducing the number of colors can reduce production complexity and improve yield.
