Fast Technology reported that blogger Smart Pikachu recently revealed that Huawei’s first wide-screen smartphone is ready. This phone will belong to the Pura series and be positioned as a high-end flagship product.

Unlike the wide foldable screen, the Huawei wide straight screen can basically be seen as a straight-screen version of the Pura X. It inherits the iconic 16:10 widescreen experience of the Pura X when unfolded, but removes the sophisticated hinge structure, resulting in a simpler and more reliable form.

In terms of design philosophy, the 16:10 aspect ratio screen is the biggest highlight of this device. Compared to the current mainstream 20:9 narrow screen, it is wider horizontally, resulting in a larger effective display area for the same size.
