The REDMI Turbo 5 Max debuts with Xiaomi’s largest Jinshajiang battery to date: a capacity of 9000mAh.
Fast Technology reported that REDMI announced an upgrade to the Turbo 5 Max with a 9000mAh ultra-large capacity battery, which is also the largest Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery to date, capable of lasting a full day even under heavy use.
It is reported that this battery has the highest energy density in Xiaomi’s history of 894Wh/L and a silicon content of 16%, allowing high performance to be fully unleashed.
That’s not all. The REDMI Turbo 5 Max also debuts the brand-new Dimensity 9500s flagship platform. This chip was jointly defined by REDMI and MediaTek. The official goal of the REDMI Turbo series is to become a full-performance flagship in the 2.5K price range.
The Dimensity 9500s is built on a 3nm process and adopts a second-generation all-big-core CPU architecture. The eight-core CPU consists of one super-large core Cortex-X925 3.73GHz + three super-large core Cortex-X4 3.3GHz + four large core Cortex-A720 2.4GHz. The all-big-core layout completely avoids the inefficiency waste of the traditional big.LITTLE architecture of “large cores idle and small cores working hard”, and the performance output is more stable in heavy load scenarios.
At the GPU level, the Dimensity 9500s is equipped with an Immortalis-G925 flagship 12-core GPU with a main frequency of 1.61GHz. It supports the Dimensity OMM ray tracing engine, which can achieve realistic lighting and shadow rendering of details such as leaves and hair without increasing the hardware load by reducing the number of polygons rendered, presenting PC-level ray tracing game effects.
Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing stated that the Turbo 5 Max aims to forcefully raise the performance threshold for mid-range phones, making the mid-range performance battle of 2026 a battle that ends as soon as it begins. See you this month.
