According to a report by Fast Technology on June 1, a Samsung employee was photographed by a passerby while dining at a restaurant in South Korea. He was using the unreleased Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 phone, which is also the first flagship product in the Android camp to feature a wide folding design. The photo has sparked widespread discussion in the tech community.
The photos taken by passersby show that the Galaxy Z Fold8 is still covered by a leak-proof protective case. The rear camera module adopts a brand-new dual-camera solution and does not have a dedicated telephoto lens, which is a clear departure from the configuration of previous generations.
According to detailed specifications leaked in advance by industry insiders,
the Galaxy Z Fold8 has a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 5.4-inch outer screen . It is powered by Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship mobile platform. The imaging system features a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The phone also has a built-in 5000mAh battery.
It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy Z Fold8 has made a breakthrough in screen crease control, which is of utmost concern to everyone. Its performance has reached the top tier of leading domestic foldable flagship phones. The crease is almost imperceptible during daily use, providing users with a top-notch foldable screen experience with virtually zero creases.
This new large folding flagship is expected to be officially unveiled to the public in July. Samsung has also broken with the past practice of single-model regular iterations and will launch two large folding products with different positioning, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, at the same launch event, respectively covering two different consumer groups: regular flagship and high-end top-of-the-line, giving consumers more choices.
