The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be priced around 7,000 yuan, comparable to the Ultra series.

Fast Technology reported that the price of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was officially increased this morning, from the initial price of 5999 yuan to 6999 yuan (Fast Technology note: the starting version is 12GB+512GB). This price increase has attracted widespread attention from netizens, who are speculating about the specific pricing of the next flagship, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

Some bloggers predict that the starting price of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be at least the same as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which is 6999 yuan. Considering the significant increase in memory and 2nm chip costs, the starting price of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may exceed 7000 yuan. This also means that the pricing range of the Pro Max version will overlap with the previous Ultra series, and the pricing strategy will need to be adjusted.

In terms of hardware configuration, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s 2nm sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra. The chip’s CPU consists of two 5.01GHz Oryon super cores, three 4.03GHz performance cores, and three 3.74GHz energy efficiency cores, and integrates an Adreno 850 GPU.

Qualcomm states that the new Oryon CPU uses a custom architecture, making it the first mobile CPU to reach a maximum clock speed of 5GHz. This high clock speed, combined with excellent IPC performance, delivers fast response and a smooth experience whether launching applications, playing demanding games, creating content, or multitasking.

In addition, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will also feature a new generation of SuperPixel screen, and in terms of imaging, it will debut a Leica dual 200-megapixel imaging solution and introduce the same imaging algorithm as Ultra. Furthermore, flagship-level features such as a large-capacity battery, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and dust and water resistance will also be included.

Compared to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has achieved comprehensive upgrades in screen, performance, and imaging, further increasing the overall cost. Its final price is expected to set a new record high for the Pro Max series.
