iQOO 16 Design Leaked: Bold and Avant-garde New Look Resembles a UFO

Fast Technology reported that blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the design of the iQOO 16. The phone features a new square Deco shape with large rounded corners, and the three cameras are connected in series. Clever design elements are incorporated into the Deco frame and underlying texture, resulting in a more precise and mechanical feel. Its shape resembles a UFO, seemingly from outer space, making it highly visually distinctive.

In addition, the back panel of the iQOO 16 uses a new process developed exclusively, and the overall design follows a futuristic sci-fi aesthetic style, making it visually striking among the new flagship models.

Besides the changes in industrial design, the iQOO 16 also boasts two core selling points. Firstly, it’s the first phone to feature a new generation of Samsung 2K screen, using Samsung’s M16 luminescent material, which is considered Samsung’s best 2K screen to date. Secondly, the iQOO 16 achieves further breakthroughs in display quality, eye protection, and power consumption control.

Secondly, the iQOO 16 is equipped with Qualcomm’s sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Edition platform, making it the most aggressively performing flagship model in iQOO’s history. In terms of specifications, the chip’s CPU consists of two 5.01GHz super cores, three 4.03GHz performance cores, and three 3.74GHz energy-efficient cores, integrating an Adreno 850 GPU. It is manufactured using TSMC’s most advanced 2nm process and is Qualcomm’s first 2nm mobile chip.

Qualcomm’s ability to break the 5GHz barrier is not due to a single improvement in manufacturing process, but rather to the excellent design foundation of the Oryon architecture itself. Because the Oryon CPU is a completely custom processor, every microarchitectural feature is tuned by Qualcomm itself, and each core has an independent clock domain, which can be individually frequency-expanded, thereby achieving a significant leap in performance.

This new phone is expected to be officially released as early as September.
