Xiaomi has officially rolled out the HyperOS development version to Xiaomi 12 users. The update, with version number 1.0.23.12.4.DEV, is notably large, with a size of 5.3GB, indicating a significant overhaul with numerous new features and enhancements for the Xiaomi 12.
The update log indicates that the underlying structure of the HyperOS has been reconstructed to maximize the hardware’s performance. A key feature includes a task recognition dyeing technology that dynamically controls resource allocation based on the importance of tasks, aiming to achieve stronger performance with lower power consumption.
The HyperOS development version brings Xiaomi HyperConnect, a cross-end interconnection framework that facilitates efficient device connections and collaboration. Additionally, a new integrated device center is introduced, allowing users to view and control nearby devices directly from the control center.
The update also includes a new security and privacy architecture, as well as a global life-sensing aesthetic and other new features, enhancing the overall user experience.
Xiaomi advises users that this update is a major Android version upgrade and recommends backing up personal data beforehand. Some third-party applications may not function normally due to a lack of version compatibility, so users are advised to upgrade cautiously.
Following the Xiaomi 12, other models including the Xiaomi 12S/S Pro/Ultra/Pro/Pro Dimensity version, Redmi K50/Supreme version/Gaming version/Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 are also scheduled to receive the HyperOS development version update within the month.
The HyperOS development version update for the Xiaomi 12 introduces significant improvements in performance, power consumption, connectivity, and user interface. This update marks a substantial step in Xiaomi’s software development, offering enhanced features and a more integrated experience for Xiaomi 12 users.
