Features of Xiaomi HyperOS

Xiaomi HyperOS AKA Pengpai OS or ThePaper OS is based on a deeply evolved Android system integrated with Xiaomi’s proprietary Vela system. It has been redesigned from the ground up to offer a low-power consumption rendering framework, enhancing battery life and providing smoother animation effects.

The OS also introduces a new dynamic effect language, a redesigned weather interface, a global focus notification system, proprietary multi-rendering technology, and revamped multitasking window management.

Towards a Comprehensive Ecosystem

Pengpai OS is a key step in Xiaomi’s journey towards creating a “human-vehicle-home” ecosystem. It aims to prepare for a future of billions of devices and connections, laying the foundation for a public platform that supports the interconnectivity of all things. The top layer of HyperOS, HyperConnec, breaks down barriers between hardware devices, allowing all devices to connect using a unified protocol and communicate in real-time.

In summary, Xiaomi’s rollout of HyperOS marks a significant step in its software development, offering enhanced features and performance. This update is expected to bring a fresh experience to older Xiaomi and Redmi devices, aligning them with the company’s vision for a connected and integrated technology ecosystem.
