Xiaomi Appears To Be Using First a New Powerful Snapdragon 7 Series Chip
According to a Chinese leaker, Qualcomm is set to launch its most powerful Snapdragon 7 series chipset, codenamed SM7675. This chipset is positioned in the mid-to-high-end segment and is expected to compete with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8000 series. Notably, its performance is anticipated to surpass that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen2’s AnTuTu score is known to be around 1.7 million points, and the new Snapdragon 7 series platform is expected to exceed 1.75 million points in AnTuTu benchmarks.
The blogger also disclosed that the Qualcomm SM7675 will be used by five brands, with Xiaomi being the first to launch a device featuring this chipset. Some manufacturers are expected to promote it as a “smaller Snapdragon 8 Gen3,” indicating its robust CPU performance.
Last year, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo was the first to debut the Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 globally. Following this pattern, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is likely to be the first to feature the SM7675, which is expected to be officially named the Snapdragon 7+ Gen3.
As per tradition, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is set to launch in the first half of this year. Positioned in the 2000 yuan price bracket, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo’s performance is expected to be unique and highly competitive, making it a device worth looking forward to.
