Xiaomi Executive Lu Weibing To Use Xiaomi 14 Ultra For Taking Pictures

Lu Weibing, a prominent figure in the tech industry and president of the Xiaomi group has announced his plans to switch to a smartphone with exceptionally strong imaging capabilities for photography during the Spring Festival. The device he referred to is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is expected to be released soon after the Spring Festival.

According to leaks, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has already entered the trial production phase and is set to begin mass production, with a potential debut at the end of February. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to feature a comprehensive quad-camera setup, each with a 50-million-pixel sensor. The main camera will boast a 1-inch super large base Sony LYT900 sensor, supporting a variable aperture ranging from f/1.6 to f/4.0, leading the way in light intake.

Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be equipped with a 3.2x direct telephoto lens, a 5x periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The dual telephoto lens setup is designed to cover a wider range of scenarios, particularly excelling in portrait photography.

In terms of core specifications, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a full-depth micro four-curved screen with a 2K resolution, support ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform. The battery capacity is 5180mAh.

A notable feature of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is that all versions will come standard with satellite communication, allowing for connectivity even in areas without ground network coverage.
