Xiaomi’s latest Arm public architecture revealed!
Today, digital blogger “Dingjiao Digital” broke the news that Xring O2 is expected to debut in the second or third quarter of next year, and the preliminary estimate is around September.
It is reported that Xuanjie O2 will adopt Arm’s latest public version architecture. With its larger scale, it is guaranteed to bring an IPC increase of more than 15%.
At the same time, Xiaomi Xuanjie O2 is expected to be equipped with the Arm Cortex-X9 series super-large core. The flagship chip MediaTek Dimensity 9500, which will be released this year, will also use the same super-large core.
Before Xuanjie O2, Xiaomi had launched its first self-developed SoC – Xuanjie O1.

There were rumors in the market that Xuanjie O1 was a chip customized from Arm. Xiaomi has clearly denied this rumor: Xuanjie O1 is not a customized solution.
Xiaomi said that the Xuanjie O1 was independently developed and designed by the Xuanjie team over four years and uses a 3nm process.
During the research and development, Xiaomi only used the latest CPU and GPU standard IP licenses from Arm, while the multi-core and memory access system-level design and back-end physical implementation were completely completed independently by Xiaomi, and it was not the “complete solution provided by Arm” as rumored by the outside world.
According to multiple sources, Xiaomi is increasing its investment in the research and development of the Xuanjie O2 chip and its self-developed 5G baseband, with the goal of achieving full terminal coverage.
Digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” also revealed that the Xuanjie O2 chip will not only be used in mobile phones in the future, but will also be considered for “cars”. Xiaomi’s self-developed four-in-one domain controller is precisely prepared for this layout.
He said that in the future, the Xuanjie chip will be fully used in Xiaomi cars, Xiaomi mobile phones, Xiaomi tablets, Xiaomi watches and other devices.
