Xiaomi’s modular optical system officially announced that by attaching a magnetic detachable lens to a mobile phone, the phone can be turned into a professional camera in seconds. The technology is currently in the pre-research stage.
This afternoon, Xiaomi’s official Weibo account posted sample photos taken by the system.
It is understood that the Xiaomi module optical system is equipped with a 100-megapixel customized 4/3 large-bottom sensor, supports a maximum aperture of F1.4, equivalent to a 35mm focal length, and the lens is powered by small spring contacts.
The system transmits data via near-infrared lasers at speeds of up to 10Gbps, equivalent to a 10G wired network or USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface.
At the same time, Xiaomi AISP can be seamlessly called, with computational photography driven by a large model on the end and supporting RAW direct output.
Xiaomi’s modular optical system is expected to make smartphone photography comparable to that of professional cameras. The modular design will provide users with greater creative space and is suitable for users with higher demands on photography.
