Xiaomi’s most powerful SoC, built on TSMC’s 3nm process, is poised for launch.
Fast Technology reported that Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, revealed in an interview that Xiaomi’s chips, operating system, and self-developed AI big data model will undergo a landmark integration this year. This means that these three core technologies will be deeply integrated and synergistic in a single terminal product in the near future.
This grand gathering is not merely a display of technological advancements; it signifies that Xiaomi is building a complete self-developed technology stack. Through the fundamental integration of software, hardware, and AI capabilities, Xiaomi products will possess greater autonomy and performance.
According to blogger Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi will definitely launch a brand new Xuanjie chip this year. The chip will be manufactured using TSMC’s 3-nanometer process and may be named Xuanjie O2.
The application of this chip will no longer be limited to smartphones. It will also be widely used in other smart terminal devices under Xiaomi, thereby further expanding the ecological application scenarios of self-developed chips and enhancing the intelligent experience of full-scenario interconnection.

Back in May of last year, Xiaomi officially launched its first self-developed flagship SoC – the Xuanjie O1. This chip uses TSMC’s second-generation 3-nanometer process, and its CPU and GPU are both based on the high-performance Arm architecture. Its multi-core benchmark score once broke through the 9,000 mark, successfully entering the top tier of the industry.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun previously stated that self-developed chips typically require a three- to four-year R&D cycle, and the first generation of products focuses more on verifying the reliability of the underlying technology, hence the initial pre-order quantity is relatively small.
The next R&D focus will shift to fully self-developed four-in-one domain control technology. This strategy is not only to strengthen the capabilities of mobile devices, but also to make sufficient technical preparations for the smooth application of Xiaomi’s self-developed chips in vehicles in the future, thereby enhancing the core competitiveness of smart cars.
