Xiaomi’s patent for a three-folding screen mobile phone was exposed by a blogger

 Xiaomi obtained a patent for the appearance design of a “mobile phone and its main body”, showcasing the design of Xiaomi’s three-fold mobile phone.

The patent drawing shows that the Xiaomi Mi 3 foldable screen has three rear cameras arranged horizontally and adopts a double-hinge design.

After the news was exposed, it attracted attention and was on the hot search list. Blogger Digital Chat Station said that Xiaomi has only made technical reserves for the three-fold screen, and has not heard of any commercial mass production plans for the time being.

A report released by Counterpoint Research shows that global shipments of foldable screen mobile phones increased by 48% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2024. China continues to lead the foldable screen mobile phone market, accounting for more than half of the total shipments.
