According to reports, Xiaomi will release a major new phone next month (March) – the Xiaomi 17 Max.

The device will have a built-in 8000mAh battery and support 100W wired flash charging and 50W wireless flash charging.

Previous leaks suggested that the Xiaomi 17 Max would also receive an upgrade in its imaging hardware.

The phone may be equipped with a Samsung ISOCELL HP series 200-megapixel main camera (1/1.4-inch sensor), and a Sony IMX8 series 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens (1/1.953-inch sensor) and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens combination.

It’s worth mentioning that the leaker also shared renders of the Xiaomi 17 Air.

He stated that due to low market interest in ultra-thin smartphones, Xiaomi may have shelved the release plan for the Xiaomi 17 Air, but the design may be carried over to the Xiaomi 17 Max model.

Judging from the renders, the Xiaomi 17 Air looks similar to the iPhone Air, featuring a horizontally arranged camera module made entirely of metal, with two cameras.

There are also reports that the Xiaomi 17 Max will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 mobile platform, feature a 6.8 to 6.9-inch ultra-narrow four-sided straight screen design, and eliminate the back screen design, returning to the traditional mobile phone appearance.

In addition, Xiaomi plans to launch the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the global market next month. The Ultra version includes a standard version and a Leica co-branded version.
