OPPO K14 series scheduled for April: Dimensity 9500 series chip + cooling fan
Fast Technology reported that OPPO product manager Sai Sai teased that the OPPO K14 series will be officially released in early April. This high-performance model features another breakthrough in heat dissipation design, continuing and enhancing the highly praised active cooling solution of its predecessor.
It’s worth noting that the K14 series will come standard with an active cooling fan across the entire range. This design remains a highly competitive and differentiated feature in the current smartphone market, aiming to completely solve the overheating problem during high-performance operation.
In traditional passive cooling systems, the heat generated by the processor needs to be conducted through mediums such as thermal paste and copper foil to the vapor chamber (VC) and then diffused onto the chassis surface. This process is relatively slow and often fails to quickly handle the sudden bursts of high heat in scenarios such as gaming.
The active cooling solution uses a small, high-speed fan to directly expel internal heat from the chassis, completing the circulation and exchange of hot and cold air. This method greatly shortens the heat dissipation path, effectively ensuring that the processor maintains stable performance under high-intensity operation.
In addition to its robust cooling system, the OPPO K14 series is also equipped with the Dimensity 9500s flagship chip. It is currently the only Dimensity 9500 series model in its price range to support active cooling, representing the ultimate performance unleashed by this platform.
In terms of size, the series offers two options: 6.59-inch and 6.78-inch. Memory configurations are also quite ample, providing various combinations from 12GB+256GB to 16GB+512GB.
However, due to the recent surge in global memory prices, OPPO has already adjusted the prices of some of its models. Industry insiders generally expect that the final starting price of the K14 series will also rise accordingly, reflecting the current industry situation of soaring supply chain costs.
