Xiaomi’s first air-cooled flagship, the REDMI K90 Max, boasts a powerful 4.16MP Dimensity processor
The REDMI K90 Max was officially released today. This is a new addition to the K series, focusing on the ultimate gaming experience.
The biggest highlight of the new phone is the addition of air cooling, making it Xiaomi’s first air-cooled phone. It features an 18.1mm ultra-large fan with a maximum airflow of 0.42 CFM, far exceeding that of competing products in the industry.

In addition, REDMI adopts a vertical air intake structure that blows directly into the SoC area, and is equipped with a simulated vortex air duct,
achieving an air volume utilization rate of 78.6%, which is the highest in the industry.

REDMI has even managed to utilize waste air, with the blown air passing through areas such as the battery to further reduce the temperature on the back.

In actual testing, the K90 Max only took 100 seconds to drop from 48℃ to 38℃, far exceeding similar models. Even after 4 hours of playing “Honor of Kings”, the highest temperature was only 36.7℃.

The fan supports three speed settings and can be turned on automatically or manually; the suspended air-cooling architecture with an independent sealed air duct does not affect the overall IP66/IP68/IP69 dustproof and waterproof rating;
a 6-year fan warranty and lifetime free cleaning are included.

In terms of noise, the K90 Max has implemented noise reduction measures throughout the entire cooling system. Even when the fan is turned on at its maximum setting, the noise level is only 32dB, which is equivalent to the ambient noise level when sleeping at night.

In terms of performance, the K90 Max is equipped with the Dimensity 9500+AI discrete graphics chip D2, paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 flash storage, achieving a comprehensive score of 4.16 million, which is currently the highest score in the Dimensity lineup.

In terms of screen, the K90 Max features a large 6.83-inch screen built with the M10 luminous technology system, boasting an ultra-high brightness of 3500 nits and supporting a 480Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate and a 3500Hz instantaneous sampling rate. It supports HDR10+ and Green Mountain Eye Protection 3.0 technology, balancing strong light visibility with long-term eye protection.

Most importantly, it has been upgraded to a 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate, natively supports 165fps mode for over 40 games, and also provides game-specific dark zone optimization and hot zone touch optimization.
With the D2 dedicated graphics card, it is possible to achieve super-frame and super-resolution for hundreds of games, reaching 1.5K+165fps concurrent full frame rate.

The symmetrical dual speakers also feature Sound by Bose co-tuning, which enhances footsteps by 200%, adds a gaming microphone, and upgrades the e-sports network.

In addition to its superior performance, the new phone will also feature a built-in 8550mAh large battery, 16% ultra-high silicon content, support for 100W wired fast charging, compatibility with 100W PPS fast charging protocol, and also support for bypass charging, so you can play games and charge at the same time without getting hot.

Imaging isn’t the K90 Max’s main focus, but it still features a 50MP high dynamic range main camera with an upgraded f/1.68 aperture and OIS optical image stabilization, resulting in more stable snapshots and a higher success rate.

In terms of price, although the memory market is currently facing significant challenges, REDMI is still offering a very attractive subsidized price.
With additional e-commerce and national subsidies, the final price starts at just 2549.15 yuan.
