Xiaomi’s most powerful self-developed chip is poised for release! The Xuanjie O3, codenamed lhasa
According to Fast Technology on April 29, Xiaomi will launch its new self-developed chip, Xuanjie O3, this year.
According to the latest leak from blogger Dingjiao Digital, the chip codenamed Lhasa is expected to be officially unveiled in September, marking a key step for Xiaomi in the field of self-developed chips.
The Xuanjie O3 represents a significant leap in core performance, with IPC expected to improve by at least 15%, while peak performance is projected to increase by over 30%. IPC is a key indicator of chip architecture capabilities; a higher IPC value signifies greater execution efficiency at the same frequency.
This is similar to the large sensor in a mobile phone camera; the larger the sensor, the better the image quality. This robust performance base provides a solid guarantee for the Xuanjie O3 to handle more complex multitasking and high-load scenarios, making it more efficient in operation.
In terms of manufacturing process, the Xuanjie O3 will be built based on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. It’s worth noting that the application of this chip will no longer be limited to smartphones, but will be widely used in various smart terminal devices under Xiaomi.
This cross-category application strategy will further expand the ecosystem application scenarios of self-developed chips and enhance the intelligent experience of full-scenario interconnection.
