The REDMI K100 series is going to increase in price! Less than competitors.
According to Fast Technology on May 4th, digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” has confirmed that the REDMI K100 series will see a price increase, but the increase will be lower than that of competing products in the same category, continuing the relatively restrained pricing strategy.
The new phone is expected to be released in October, with significant upgrades to its core configuration. Price reductions are inevitable due to cost pressures.

Previously, the standard version of the K90 was priced starting at 2,599 yuan, and the K90 Pro Max was priced starting at 3,999 yuan. It is expected that the standard version of the K100 will be priced starting at 2,999 yuan, and the K100 Pro Max will be priced starting at 4,599 yuan.
The main reason is the rising cost of core components such as processors and memory. The standard version of the K100 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5, while the Pro Max version is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6, both of which are 3nm flagship chips.
Prices of core components such as memory and chips continue to rise, coupled with the release of flagship-level configurations to lower-end models, leading to a collective price increase cycle for mid-range Android phones.
It is worth noting that with the price increase, other configurations of the K100 series are also expected to be upgraded. Currently, the entire series is testing a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and the Pro Max version has even tested a 200-megapixel main camera, which will create the strongest imaging system in the history of the K series.
