REDMI K90 Ultra to be officially announced tomorrow: Snapdragon 8E+ cooling fan, performance challenges Snapdragon 8E5.
REDMI product manager Hu Xinxin hinted that the official release date of the REDMI K90 Ultra is expected to be announced tomorrow.
Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing stated that with industry-wide price increases expected in 2026, performance phones in the 2-3K price range are becoming increasingly scarce. REDMI is well aware of the industry’s predicament, but will not disappoint users’ expectations. The mission of the K90 Ultra is to defend the 3K price range and fight for gaming performance freedom in this segment.

It is reported that the K90 Ultra fully inherits the most hardcore gaming genes of the K90 Max, is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Ultra chip, and has built-in the strongest air-cooling technology, with performance that is enough to rival Snapdragon 8E5 models.
According to leaks, the machine uses the same top-of-the-line air-cooling solution as the K90 Max, with the industry’s largest built-in fan and 11 heat dissipation fins tuned by flow field simulation, which greatly increases the heat dissipation area and precisely guides the airflow direction, with an airflow utilization rate of up to 78.6%.
This cooling system can achieve a cooling effect of up to 10°C. Even during long-term gaming or multitasking with high load, the body temperature remains controllable, completely eliminating common problems such as overheating, core locking, and frequency throttling.
In addition, the K90 Ultra will have a battery capacity of over 8000mAh and its peripheral configuration is on par with the K90 Max, making it arguably the most powerful ultra model in the history of the K series.
