Fast Technology reported that leaker Sonny Dickson released more detailed images of the iPhone Fold mockup, giving everyone a sneak peek at the design details of Apple’s first foldable screen.

The most striking feature is undoubtedly the new phone’s proportions. Apple has adopted a similar wide folding proportion to the Huawei Pura X series, which makes it more practical when unfolded.

The overall design is similar to that of a regular Android foldable screen, featuring a back screen with a punch-hole design for everyday operation.

The back features a dual-camera module similar to the iPhone Air. The Air was launched by Apple to verify foldable screen technology and achieve the ultimate internal stacking, so the Fold model will inevitably have many similarities to the Air.

It’s worth noting that the source claims Apple seems to have only created a white version of this foldable phone, so those who prefer black or gray will be disappointed.

According to previous reports, the iPhone Fold is equipped with a custom LTPO OLED flexible screen from Samsung. To achieve a near-crease-free design, it uses a liquid metal hinge, which is 2.5 times stronger than titanium alloy. However, the manufacturing process is difficult, and the industry yield rate is only about 65%, which is the main challenge for mass production.

When folded, the body measures 83.8mm*120.6mm*9.6mm, with an external screen of approximately 5.49 inches and a screen resolution of 2088×1422.

When unfolded, the device measures 167.6*120.6mm*4.8mm, with an internal screen of approximately 7.76 inches and a resolution of 2713×1920.

According to reports, the starting price of the iPhone Fold is expected to be as high as 14,999 yuan, which will be the most expensive iPhone in Apple’s history.
