Battery life monster! OPPO 6500mAh silicon negative electrode battery is released

blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that OPPO’s 6500mAh silicon negative electrode battery has been launched, using a new generation of silicon-carbon negative electrode material. It is expected that OnePlus’ new products next year will use this battery.

Digital Chat Station also hinted that the battery capacity of OnePlus 13 will exceed 6000mAh, between 6100-6200mAh.

It is reported that the negative electrode material is an important component of lithium-ion batteries, and its performance directly affects the battery’s energy density, cycle life, safety performance, etc.

Currently, the negative electrode material of traditional lithium batteries is graphite, but the theoretical gram capacity of graphite is only 372mA/g. In comparison, the theoretical gram capacity of silicon-carbon negative electrode material is more than ten times that of graphite, which is much higher than graphite.

This means that silicon-carbon negative electrode batteries have higher energy density, making light and thin large batteries possible.

In addition, silicon-carbon negative electrode material is an environmentally friendly material that does not produce harmful substances during the production process. It can also be recycled and reused after use, with little impact on the environment.

Currently, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro’s glacier battery uses a new generation of silicon-carbon negative electrode material. After the subsequent commercial use of 6500mAh, OnePlus’ new product will become a new generation of battery life monster.
