International giants Apple and Samsung have set their sights on the thin and light track this year. Apple has almost confirmed that it will launch the iPhone 17 Air, which will be only 6.2mm thick and will still be released in September.

Samsung took the lead and released the Galaxy S25 series this month, which included a new thin and light model – the Galaxy S25 Slim.

It is positioned between the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Its thickness is slightly thicker than the iPhone 17 Air, estimated to be around 6.5mm.

Although the body of the phone is very thin and light, Samsung has also equipped it with the same 200-megapixel camera ISOCELL HP2 as the S24 Ultra, and its imaging capabilities are comparable to those of the ultra-large cup.

In terms of core performance, the Galaxy S25 series is the first to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition for Galaxy processor, with the CPU main frequency reaching an unprecedented 4.47GHz, which is more powerful than the current commercial 4.32GHz version.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will also be upgraded to 16GB of memory, which will be the flagship phone with the largest memory in Samsung’s history. The main reason why Samsung upgraded to a large memory this time is that large AI models consume a lot of memory.
