Exynos 2500 released: the first to use Samsung’s 3nm process 10-core CPU

Samsung’s Exynos 2500 flagship platform was officially released. This is the most powerful mobile phone chip in Samsung’s history.

It is reported that Exynos 2500 is built based on Samsung’s 3nm GAA process. It is Samsung’s first 3nm mobile phone chip and adopts a 10-core design.

Its CPU consists of 1×3.3GHz super core + 2×2.74GHz large core + 5×2.36GHz large core and 2×1.8GHz small core. The GPU is Xclipse 950, supports LPDDR5X memory, integrates 24K MAC NPU and DSP artificial intelligence engine, supports up to 320 million pixel cameras, 4K 120Hz displays and UFS 4.0 storage, and supports satellite communications.

It is worth noting that the Exynos 2500 is customized with the fourth-generation Xclipse 950 GPU, which adopts the AMD RDNA 3 architecture to provide amazing gaming graphics performance.

According to the official introduction, by adopting a dual-shader engine structure, the Exynos 2500 embedded Xclipse 950 GPU has been upgraded from 6WGP/4RB to 8WGP/8RB, and the GPU supports instance transformation hardware acceleration, which increases the frames per second (FPS) by 28% when ray tracing is enabled.

In addition, the Exynos 2500 is manufactured using advanced 3nm gate-all-around (GAA) process technology, which provides better power efficiency through fan-out wafer-level packaging (FOWLP), while enhancing heat dissipation performance and greatly reducing chip thickness.

This chip will be first used in Samsung’s small folding screen Galaxy Z Flip7, and the new phone will be launched in July.
