Fast Technology reported that Nubia and Doubao jointly launched the Doubao M153 smartphone last December, with an official price of 3499 yuan. The emergence of this phone marks a significant step forward in the deep integration of AI technology and mobile phone hardware.

The device comes pre-installed with the deeply integrated Doubao mobile assistant, which can accurately understand users’ natural language commands. It not only enables cross-platform operations across multiple applications but also integrates interaction points through system-level AI scheduling, achieving a high degree of automation in task processing.

Following Nubia, a blogger recently revealed that one of the top five domestic manufacturers is working closely with Doubao to create a more powerful AI phone. This news has sparked widespread discussion in the industry, with netizens speculating about the identity of this mysterious partner.

Currently, the top five domestic smartphone manufacturers are generally recognized as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Honor. If any one of these brands can establish a deep partnership with Doubao, it will significantly change the existing mobile phone interaction model and inject new competitive variables into the AI smartphone market.

Industry insiders point out that the Doubao phone is not just a hardware device, but also the industry’s first truly implemented AI agent with the highest system-level permissions. It’s like a disruptive force, crashing into the isolated world of apps that we’ve become accustomed to.

This system-level empowerment means that mobile phones will transform from mere tools into intelligent assistants capable of proactively understanding and assisting users. It attempts to break down the barriers between different software, enabling true interconnectivity of information and functions at the underlying logic level, and reshaping the mobile internet experience.

Regarding this trend, Luo Yonghao once stated frankly that ByteDance’s attempt was remarkable. He believes that AI assistants will inevitably become ubiquitous in the future, and people’s lives will be completely inseparable from them. Future users will remember this historically significant turning point.

With more leading manufacturers joining the fray, AI smartphones will no longer be limited to simple voice dialogue, but will evolve towards greater intelligence and automation. This technological revolution will not only change the form of mobile phones, but will also profoundly affect every moment of human interaction with the digital world.
