For the first time in Mate history! Huawei Mate 80 series supports 3D face recognition

Blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that all versions of the Huawei Mate 80 series are expected to feature 3D facial recognition as standard. The blogger stated that the Mate 80 series’ 3D facial recognition utilizes a domestically produced solution, with components, modules, transmitters, and receivers all sourced in large quantities from top domestic manufacturers.

Starting with the Mate 20 Pro, Huawei’s Mate series has enabled 3D facial recognition, but for a long time, only the Pro version of the Mate series supported 3D facial recognition. According to the latest leaks, the Mate 80 series is expected to support 3D facial recognition across all versions.

It is reported that the Mate 80 series will offer four models, including Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+ and Mate 80 RS. The Mate 80 standard version, Pro and Pro+ each have four color schemes, while the RS version has three color schemes.

The series is equipped with the new Hongmeng 6 operating system and is the first to launch the Kirin 9030 chip. This is the most powerful Mate flagship in Huawei’s history. The new product will be unveiled as early as November.
