The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be released next year and according to rumors it will support significantly faster wireless charging than previous models. In order to provide a complete charging experience and match the higher speeds Samsung is reportedly creating a new wireless charger that will be optimized for these upcoming phones.
Samsung’s current Qi2 wireless charger can deliver up to 15W of wireless charging. However, the new wireless charger which has the model number EP-P2900 is expected to support faster charging at 25W allowing devices to charge more quickly.
According to data provided by retailers, the charger is available in a dark gray finish and is expected to work with both the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series smartphones. Additionally, it will support charging the Galaxy Buds wireless earphones making it suitable for multiple Samsung devices.
According to previous reports the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to support wireless charging at a speed of 25W while the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are likely to offer slightly slower wireless charging at 20W. When it come to wired charging the Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to support fast charging at 60W providing a significant boost in charging speed. In comparison, the Galaxy S26 is expected to support 25W wired charging and the S26+ is likely to handle 45W giving users a range of fast charging options across the new lineup.
