Galaxy Z TriFold Pricing May Be Less Surprising Than Expected
Recently, Samsung has shown the world its first tri-fold smartphone, which is expected to be released as the Galaxy Z TriFold. The company has not officially revealed any details about this model yet, including its possible price. However, a few rumors about the device have started to circulate.
Some early reports said that the Galaxy Z TriFold could reach a price of around $3,000. But according to the latest claims, the price may actually be lower than earlier predictions.
Price Expected to Be More Moderate
Samsung has not yet announced a launch date for the Galaxy Z TriFold. Some rumors suggest the device could be shown off before the end of 2025, followed by a limited release in 2026. As the year is almost over, it seems likely that any announcement would need to happen in the near future.
A recent report suggested that the device will be officially revealed on December 5. It also states that the price may be set at around 4.4 million Korean won or roughly $3,000. This means it could cost roughly 50% more than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which begins at $1,999.
One of the latest rumors claims that Samsung may set the Galaxy Z TriFold’s price at $2,499. While this would make the price somewhat easier to accept compared with earlier estimates, it is still far from inexpensive. According to the rumor, this pricing would make the Galaxy Z TriFold about $300 cheaper than Huawei’s competing Mate XTs model.
Even though the final price of the Galaxy Z TriFold has not been confirmed, it is believed that Samsung will limit the initial launch to just a few key markets where there is sufficient purchasing power. Early availability is expected in major markets such as the United States, South Korea, China and the United Arab Emirates, while other regions may have to wait or may not see the device at all.
