Honor Magic V5 reportedly set a new Guinness World Record. This folding screen successfully lifted a weight of 104kg.

Previously, in order to demonstrate the powerful hinge of Honor Magic V5, the phone was able to lift a large sofa weighing 75kg, and its strength is unmatched.

According to the official introduction, Honor Magic V5 adopts the new “Honor Luban shock-absorbing hinge” to strengthen the dual protection of the inner and outer screens, making it Honor’s most drop-resistant folding screen model to date, solving the pain point of folding screen durability.

Specifically, the Honor Magic V5 adopts groundbreaking technology and materials, and applies the Honor Luban mortise and tenon-type shock-absorbing structure. Through sophisticated mechanical design, it can effectively cushion the impact force during folding and unfolding, providing reliable protection for internal precision components.

While ensuring high strength, Honor Magic V5 also uses carbon fiber material on the hinge door panel to achieve the goal of weight reduction. Carbon fiber is known for its high strength properties. It not only ensures the durability of the hinge, but also effectively reduces the weight of the entire machine, accurately achieving a balance between thickness, weight and durability.

More importantly, the Honor Magic V5 is only 8.8mm thick and weighs only 217g, making it the lightest and thinnest folding screen flagship at the time.
