Honor’s dual-focal length solution with one lens is first revealed
Blogger Digital Chat Station stated that Honor Lab has the technical reserves and pre-research plans for continuous optical zoom with dual focal lengths and more than 200 million lenses, and hopes that the relevant technologies can go beyond the laboratory and challenge Huawei.
The previously launched Huawei Pura 80 Ultra was the first to commercially use a dual-focal length lens, reconstructing the optical structure, combining the 3.7x medium-telephoto lens and the 9.4x super-telephoto lens optical focal length into one, and coordinating it with a 1/1.28-inch main camera-level ultra-large bottom sensor, achieving a comprehensive leap in telephoto image quality. Moreover, this large-bottom periscope telephoto lens uses an RYYB array, so telephoto images shot in dark environments can be clearly seen.

At the same time, Huawei has introduced functions such as AI-assisted composition and ultra-clear panoramic synthesis. Among them, AI-assisted composition is learned through more than 500,000 professional image works and combined with AI aesthetic composition engine training. It can intelligently identify high-frequency scenes during shooting, analyze the subject, light and perspective relationship in the picture, intelligently recommend the framing range, and automatically switch the shooting focal length.
According to the leaked information, Honor is also developing dual-focal-length technology for one lens, and the possibility of commercial use in the future cannot be ruled out, so it is worth looking forward to.
