Honor’s self-developed Qinghai Lake blade battery, won the GLOMO Best Breakthrough Innovation Award.

Fast Technology reported that Fang Fei, President of Honor’s Product Line, announced that Honor’s self-developed Qinghai Lake Blade Battery won the “Oscar” of the communications industry—the GLOMO Best Breakthrough Innovation Award—at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC2026) 
.

It is understood that other shortlisted products include AirPods 3, Gemini, and Huawei Mate XTs. The winner this time is the industry’s first mass-produced 25% high-silicon Qinghai Lake blade battery, which is used in the Honor Magic V5.

It’s worth mentioning that the upcoming Honor Magic V6 has achieved another breakthrough in battery technology.

The new phone is equipped with a new generation of Qinghai Lake blade battery, achieving a breakthrough that is two generations ahead of the industry. The silicon content has been increased to 32%, the highest in the industry. It also brings a maximum battery capacity of 7150mAh for foldable screens and an energy density of 985Wh/L, breaking three industry records for mass-producible high-silicon batteries.

In addition, Honor has equipped the phone with the new Honor AI Dujiangyan Power Management System, which, combined with the self-developed Qinghai Lake battery model algorithm, further improves the accuracy of energy efficiency management. Through the synergy of hardware and software, it achieves smarter battery management and delivers ultra-long battery life.
