Huawei recently submitted a patent application called “Electronic device with movable lifting components”.
This design improves the zoom performance by increasing the physical focal length of the telephoto lens while taking into account the slim design of the mobile phone .

The periscope lens design of traditional mobile phones usually makes the body thicker due to the prism and mirror reflection structure, while Huawei’s patent uses a lifting structure to improve the telephoto photography performance by changing the physical optical path .

When we are not using the telephoto lens, the entire module will shrink into the body, keeping the phone slim.

Speaking of this, many people will think of the super-focusing telescopic main camera in Huawei Pura70 Ultra . Through the unique rotating telescopic lens design, it achieves a light and thin body while maintaining image quality. This design solves the problem of camera module thickness caused by traditional large-bottom sensors.

In addition, the patent also mentions the physical zoom function, where users can manually control the lifting mechanism to adjust the distance between the lens and the image sensor to obtain completely lossless optical zoom.

This patent application shows that Huawei is well prepared in terms of technological reserves. In the future, Huawei mobile phones are expected to achieve a balance between slim design and imaging capabilities, providing users with a better shooting experience.
