Huawei Mate 80 is reportedly accelerating: it will be released in October at the earliest
Blogger Dingjiao Digital revealed that the progress of Huawei Mate 80 series has been accelerated, and it will be unveiled in October.
According to leaks, Huawei’s Mate 80 series will debut the new Kirin 9030 chip, while the previous generation Mate 70 series will debut the Kirin 9020.

In terms of specifications, Kirin 9020 adopts an eight-core design. Its CPU consists of 1×2.5GHz large core + 3×2.15GHz medium core + 4×1.6GHz small core, and integrates Maleoon 920 GPU. As an iterative chip, Kirin 9030 is expected to continue the eight-core design of the previous generation, and its performance will reach new heights.
In addition to the first launch of Kirin 9030, it was revealed that Huawei Mate 80 series will return to straight screen. The series adopts a straight screen + 3D face recognition solution and is expected to support side fingerprint recognition. This solution is unique among domestic flagships.
In terms of imaging, it was revealed that the Huawei Mate 80 series is equipped with a customized 50-megapixel camera, the model of which is SmartSens SC590XS. It has an ultra-large 1/1.28-inch bottom, a unit pixel of 1.2μm, and supports QPD full-pixel precise focus.
In addition, the Mate 80 series will be equipped with the Hongmeng 6 operating system, and is expected to continue the Mate 70 series’ four-model combination, including Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+ and Mate 80 RS Extraordinary Master. This will be the most powerful Mate in history.
