online reports revealed that the Huawei Mate 80 series may be officially launched in December this year.

The series is expected to include four models: Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+ and Mate 80 RS.

Previously, a digital blogger revealed that the entire Mate 80 series will adopt a straight screen design and is planned to be launched on the market at the end of the fourth quarter of this year.

It is worth noting that the Pura 90 series and nova series to be released next year are also expected to follow the straight screen solution.

Leaked information shows that the Mate 80 series will be equipped with two specifications of 1.5K straight screens, 6.74 inches and 6.85 inches respectively, both of which adopt an extremely narrow bezel design to enhance the visual experience.

In order to retain the 3D face recognition function, the Pro series models will continue to use the three-hole screen form, while the standard version adopts a single-hole design and does not support this function.

Not only the Mate 80 series, but also the Pura 80 series may be delayed. It is reported that the Pura 80 series, originally scheduled to be released on May 22, may be postponed to June to August.

The series will continue to be positioned as Huawei’s imaging flagship, but the specific configuration details have not yet been clarified. This adjustment may be related to product line planning and supply chain scheduling, but the official has not yet made an official response.

Judging from the existing information, Huawei is promoting the application of straight screen design in multiple product lines.

As the flagship of the year, the Mate 80 series has differentiated configurations in screen specifications and biometric technology, which not only continues the high-end positioning of the Pro series, but also leaves room for price adjustments for the standard version.
