Huawei Mate XT2: An extraordinary masterclass in image appreciation.

Fast Technology reported that Huawei recently released the Mate XT 2 Extraordinary Master with a tri-fold folding design, starting at 19,999 yuan.

The biggest highlights of this phone are its brand-new dual inward-folding wing structure and the debut of the Kirin 9050 Pro chip.

This new product has now arrived at our testing lab, and we’re sharing some pictures with you below.

Unlike the previous generation’s Z-shaped folding design, the new phone’s two side screens fold inwards, and when the entire folded area is closed, it is all housed inside the body.

When fully unfolded, the inner screen reaches 10.2 inches with a resolution of 2232×3184. The inner screen uses UFG ultra-flexible glass, supports a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, and also features 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

There’s also a rigid double-layer OLED external screen, allowing you to reply to messages and scan codes to make payments without unfolding it. The device is available in three colors: black, white, and purple; we have the white version.

The chip is the highlight of this upgrade . The Kirin 9050 Pro uses the Tao Law Logic Folding Technology, and it is also the first new generation Kirin chip that Huawei has explained in detail at a flagship launch event in six years.

It adopts the Lingxi CPU’s hyper-threaded 9-core architecture, with overall performance improved by 42% compared to the previous generation Mate XTs, single-core performance increased by 24%, and multi-core concurrency improved by 52%. The GPU adds hardware ray tracing, the NPU computing power is upgraded simultaneously, and it also integrates the Balong baseband to support integrated space-ground communication, improving satellite paging success rate by 42%.

The battery has a capacity of 5600mAh and supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The camera uses XMAGE’s third-generation red maple color scheme, and features a quad-camera setup on the back: a 50MP main camera with a variable aperture of F1.49-F4.0, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom.
