The Huawei P70‘s phone case has been revealed, confirming the device’s appearance and showcasing an industry-first triangular Deco design. This revelation comes amidst widespread speculation that Huawei is likely to unveil the P70 series flagship smartphones at a press conference this March.

The leaked phone case aligns with previously circulated renderings, solidifying the back design of the P70. The standout feature of this design is the rear camera Deco layout, which employs a unique triangular shape, setting a new standard for distinctiveness in the industry.

Leaks suggest that the P70’s main camera will utilize the domestic OmniVision OV50H sensor, shared with the rear main cameras of the Xiaomi 14, iQOO 12, and Meizu 21 PRO. This sensor boasts 50 million pixels, a 1/1.3-inch sensor size, 1.2μm pixel size, supports quad-pixel technology for 12.5 million pixel video and preview, and is capable of shooting 4K at 120 frames and 8K video.

The P70 Art model takes the camera design even further with an exaggerated, irregular extension to the triangular design, making it more pronounced than the previous “island” scheme. This model features a larger imaging module area, and an upgraded sensor lineup including a 50 million pixel main camera, a 50 million pixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50 million pixel 4x periscope telephoto macro lens.

The primary camera, featuring the Sony IMX989 sensor, supports an adjustable aperture and comes with a full 1-inch sensor, marking it as Huawei’s flagship imaging device with the largest sensor size in its history.

This development indicates Huawei’s continued innovation in smartphone design and camera technology, setting the stage for what could be one of the most exciting releases in the mobile industry this year.
