Fast Technology reported that blogger Super Dimension posted an article stating that Huawei’s Pura X2 foldable phone will move the outer screen from the front to the back of the first-generation model. The opening mechanism will also be changed from vertical folding to a horizontal folding similar to flipping a book, and the outer screen size will be increased accordingly.

Compared to the Huawei Pura X, the core difference of the Huawei Pura X2 is expected to be in the screen configuration. Judging from the leaked renders, the Huawei Pura X2 adopts a vertical quad-camera layout on the back, unlike the horizontal triple-camera design of the Huawei Pura X. Furthermore, the lenses and the outer screen are separate, arranged on opposite sides of the back of the phone.

The specific screen parameters of the Huawei Pura X2 are not yet clear. It can only be speculated that its inner screen size may be increased to more than 7 inches, and it will most likely continue the 16:10 wide folding design. The outer screen size will also increase accordingly.

As the successor to the Pura X, the Huawei Pura X2 is expected to be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chip, the same chip used in the Mate 80 series. This chip features a new 9-core architecture, providing strong support for smooth device operation.

Regarding the imaging system, the Pura X2 will most likely feature a quad-camera setup with a red maple theme, including a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP 3.5x optical zoom telephoto lens, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral channel red maple primary color camera.

In addition, regarding the release date, blogger Dingjiao Digital previously revealed that Huawei’s wide foldable screen phone will be released later than the flat-screen flagship Pura 90 series, and will most likely be delayed until the second quarter of 2026 to meet consumers.
