According to blogger “RD Observation” on December 13, as of 2025 W49, the sales volume of Huawei Mate 80 series was approximately 754,900 units.

This achievement has significantly surpassed the flagship models of many domestic manufacturers, second only to the Xiaomi 17 series, and roughly the same as the REDMI K90 series, although the Mate 80 series has only recently been launched.

Among them, the W49’s market share that week was second only to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, ranking second in the domestic market, and it was also the only flagship phone besides Apple to enter the top three.

In the price range above 4,000 yuan, the Mate 80 series has ended the long-standing monopoly of the iPhone 17 series in the top three, representing the recapture of the high-end market by domestic mobile phones.

Thanks to the strong sales performance of the Mate 80 series, Huawei’s market share has been far ahead in the past two weeks, securing the top spot in the Chinese market for two consecutive weeks.

According to the latest data from market research firm BCI, Huawei maintained its leading position in the Chinese smartphone market for two consecutive weeks in the 48th and 49th weeks of 2025, with market shares of 27.81% and 22.89% respectively, surpassing major competitors such as Apple.

Analysis indicates that Huawei has successfully returned to the top of the domestic market thanks to improved yield rates of its self-developed chips, the maturity of its HarmonyOS system, and a more competitive pricing strategy.

Currently, the Mate80 Pro Max is being resold by scalpers for around 1,500 yuan more, and some versions are still in short supply, a situation that is likely to continue for some time.

With production capacity continuing to ramp up and positive word-of-mouth growing, the Mate 80 series is expected to reach 2 million units in sales in Q1 2026.
