Fast Technology reported that OPPO and AI Agent platform Manus officially announced a partnership yesterday. The two companies will integrate Manus’s intelligent agent capabilities into OPPO AI Mind Pilot, further enhancing the phone’s ability to handle complex tasks. This feature is planned to be first launched on the OPPO Find X10 series running ColorOS 17.

It’s worth noting that Manus’s previous 2.0 version adopted a new generation of Cascade architecture, which can invoke different tools according to task requirements, improving the execution efficiency of complex tasks. Official test data shows that, under specific test configurations, the new architecture reduces token consumption by 23.2% and task completion time by 28.2% compared to the previous version.

For example, when planning a trip, users only need to ask the AI to organize their itinerary. The system can then search for information such as flight tickets, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, and attraction tickets scattered across different apps on the phone. Combined with online data, it generates a personalized travel plan arranged by date, saving users the trouble of manually collecting and organizing information.

Beyond travel planning, this capability will also be applied to daily office work and content creation. Users can use natural language commands to have AI find specific photos, organize documents, or combine local data with online information to create presentations, project proposals, and portfolios.

It’s worth noting that as AI begins to access more personal data, OPPO has also announced related privacy protection measures. ColorOS 17 will utilize on-device models to understand and organize information locally. For local tasks such as finding, organizing, and renaming files and photos, the original content will remain on the device and will not be shared with Manus. If a task requires external processing, the system will seek the user’s explicit consent before uploading or sharing the relevant content.

Tang Kai, president of OPPO’s Software Engineering Division, said that both parties hope to enable AI to better understand user intentions and take proactive actions to complete tasks, so that personal AI can be naturally integrated into daily life and work.
