MediaTek Dimensity 8400 CPU frequency exceeds 3GHz: performance exceeds Snapdragon 8 Gen2
blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the parameter configuration of MediaTek Dimensity 8400. This chip is built based on TSMC’s 4nm process and is benchmarked against Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series flagship platform.
It is reported that the Dimensity 8400 adopts the Cortex-A725 full-core architecture design, with a CPU main frequency exceeding 3GHz, and integrates the same GPU IP as the Dimensity 9400 (the GPU of the Dimensity 9400 is Immortalis-G925 MC12).
In terms of running points, the total AnTuTu score of MediaTek Dimensity 8400 exceeded 1.7 million points, surpassing Snapdragon 8 Gen2. Digital Chat Station said that “the performance of Dimensity 8400 is still being optimized”, suggesting that the running points of mass-produced machines will reach new highs.
It is worth noting that the advantage of Dimensity lies in its extremely high cost-effectiveness. The previous generation chip Dimensity 8300 was used in Redmi K70E, and the initial launch price of the relevant terminal was less than 2,000 yuan. The Dimensity 8400 chip will rely on its cost-effectiveness to help MediaTek further gain ground in the mid-to-high-end chip market and expand its market share.
It is understood that domestic mobile phone manufacturers such as OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi are already preparing new models equipped with Dimensity 8400 chips, and these models are expected to be released one after another by the end of this year.
