Meizu 16 Series

Xiao Bo, General Manager of the China Region at Xingji Meizu Group, officially revealed the design of the Meizu Note 16 series.

Xiao Bo stated that the Meizu Note 16 series was made to be a national smartphone — affordable and enjoyable for everyone to use. Mass appeal was important, and the Meizu design team refined dozens of concepts. After extensive research, they settled on a design inspired by the thousand-year-old Chinese “Zaojing” dome motif. People may find it familiar — it shares a certain resonance with Huawei’s tri-fold phone.

Official renderings show that the Meizu Note 16 will come in at least two color options: red and white. The white version has a shiny silver frame, while the red one uses a gold frame. The borders appear to be plastic, and both color variants feature red-colored power buttons. On the back, a large octagonal camera module houses several lenses and a circular flash.

According to Xingji Meizu Technology, the Note 16 series will be released in mid-May and will be the first non-flagship model to ship with the new Flyme AIOS 2 system out of the box.

Leaked information reveals that the standard Meizu Note 16 model will use a T765 processor from Unisoc, feature a 6.78-inch LCD screen with 1080P resolution, a 50MP main rear camera + 2MP secondary camera, and an 8MP front camera. It includes a 6600mAh battery with support for 40W wired charging. The Meizu Note 16 Pro will pack a 6150mAh battery and support 80W fast charging.

Based on the specifications, the standard model appears to target the entry-level market and is likely to be priced around 1000 yuan.
