Samsung is advancing the rollout of its One UI 7 update based on Android 15, though not without hiccups. Canadian carrier Telus confirmed the stable update for Galaxy S23 series will begin on April 22, with users in other regions potentially receiving it earlier due to Samsung’s phased rollout strategy.
While Samsung tested the beta version in South Korea as early as March, critical issues remain: The recent halt of updates for Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 due to unlock bugs reveals looser quality control compared to previous releases.
Beyond the S23 lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5, and Tab S10+ are slated for April updates, with more devices following in May. Samsung cautions that timelines are tentative, especially given recent instability. Users are advised to back up data or wait for peer feedback before installing.
